It's time to wear your Dickinson red!
Join Dickinson Athletics, the Student Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) and the Office of Student Leadership and Campus Engagement (SLCE) for Red Out on Saturday, September 15, 2018. The Dickinson and Carlisle communities are invited to cheer on Red Devil student-athletes at five home athletic events, featuring Dickinson field hockey, football, volleyball and women's and men's soccer in Centennial Conference competitions.
Admission is free at all events.
Red Out T-shirts, SLCE free books promotion
Dickinson students (with ID) who attend the athletic events will receive a new design of the Dickinson Red Out T-shirt. A limited number of T-shirts will be available at each athletic venue and will be provided on a first-come, first-serve basis. In addition, SLCE is offering a promotion for all Dickinson students who attend and check in to at least one of the five athletic events. Students who check in can enter to win free books for the spring 2019 semester.
All Dickinson students are encouraged to download and use the EngageD and Corq apps to check in with their phones at each event, and enter to win the free books promotion. Red Out T-shirt giveaways and check-in tables will be available at the Kline Center, Biddle Field and Dickinson Park. After a random drawing, a student winner for the free books promotion will be declared on Monday, September 17.
Dickinson 2006 football alumni recognition
Dickinson football will welcome back the 2006 Centennial Conference Championship football team to be honored at halftime of the Dickinson v. Gettysburg game on Biddle Field, joined by long-time Head Coach Darwin Breaux and football alumni. Coach Breaux's 2006 class secured three "Little Brown Bucket" trophies against Gettysburg, topping the Bullets in 2003, 2004, and 2006.
In addition, Dickinson Vice President for Student Life George Stroud will join Dickinson football captains Billy Burger and Jimmy Turner for the opening coin toss, before the Red Devils take on the Bullets for the annual Centennial Conference rivalry matchup. Head Coach Brad Fordyce and the Red Devils are pursuing the Bucket trophy for the second consecutive season, after winning 24-21 at Gettysburg last fall.
