Low Scores Highlight Day Three of Championship

(Abbottstown, Pa.) – The Dickinson men's golf team knocked a stroke off its combined score from Saturday, shooting a 327 on Sunday at the Centennial Conference Championship.

First-year Bobby McFadden (Perkasie, Pa./Christopher Dock) had a great round, carding a 78 for a three-day total of 247 to lead the Red Devils.

Jake Kessel (Woodcliff Lakes, N.J./Pascack) and George Voris (Winnetka, Ill./New Trier Township) had their best rounds of the tournament, coming in with an 82 and 83. Kessel finished with a 255 while Voris totaled a 257.

First-year Stephen Bonacci (McLean, Va./Langley) totaled a 249, shooting an 84 on Sunday. Ryan Kowash (Kennett Square, Pa./Unionville) shot an 87 for a three-day total of 253.

The Red Devils had a 997 for the weekend, placing sixth. Franklin & Marshall held off a furious comeback effort by Gettysburg to claim the team title by four strokes, 910-914. The Bullets combined for a 293 on Sunday to overtake McDaniel by one stroke.

Gettysburg's Danny Harcourt shot the low round of the tournament on Sunday, shooting a 69 to finish in a five-way tie for first with 227. The players moved on to a playoff with three players advancing to the second hole. McDaniel's Brian Norwitz birdied the third hole to claim the individual title.
