Devils Play Well in Strong Field at E'Town Invite

(Hershey, Pa.) – The Dickinson College men's golf team turned in some strong rounds in a very competitive field at the Elizabethtown Fall Invitational at the Hershey Country Club East Course. The Red Devils combined for a score of 309 to place eighth out of 18 teams on Tuesday.

Senior Stephen Hoefer (Dallas, Texas/Cistercian Prep) led the way with a team-low 75 to finish in the top 20. First-year Charlie Zane (Guilford, Conn./Hopkins School) was just one stroke back with a 76.

Sophomore Stephen Bonacci (McLean, Va./Langley) had a solid round as well, turning in a 78 while classmate Vince Warzecha (Chester Springs, Pa./Malvern Prep) finished with an 80 for the day.

Messiah won the team title with a remarkable round of 292 with Stevenson claiming second with a 297 and Lebanon Valley finished with a 299 to capture third.

The Red Devils are in action again on Saturday, traveling to the Hanover Country Club for the Gettysburg Fall Invitational. The opening tee-off time is set for 12:30 pm.
