(Abbottstown, Pa.) – The Dickinson men's golf team placed eighth overall at the 11-team Gettysburg Fall Invitational at the Hanover Country Club on Saturday afternoon.
Sophomore Bobby McFadden (Perkasie, Pa./Christopher Dock) led the way for the Red Devils, carding a 78 to tie for 13th in the individual standings. Junior Jake Kessel (Woodcliff Lakes, N.J./Pascack) tied for 24th with a round of 81.
Senior Stephen Hoefer (Dallas, Texas/Cistercian Prep) shot an 83 while first-year Charlie Zane (Guilford, Conn./Hopkins School) and sophomore Stephen Bonacci (McLean, Va./Langley) came in with scores of 85 and 86.
Lebanon Valley won the team title by virtue of a tie-breaker, comparing the fifth score of the line-up. They matched host Gettysburg with a round of 306 to edge McDaniel by one stroke.
McDaniel's Brandon Vance earned medalist honors with a low round of 71 for the day.
The Red Devils are in action again next Saturday and Sunday, competing in the Mason-Dixon Collegiate Classic, hosted by McDaniel at The Bridges Golf Club.
