(Abbottstown, Pa.) – The Dickinson men's golf team had some strong rounds on the final day of the Centennial Conference Championship, remaining in sixth place in the team standings.
First-year Charlie Zane (Guilford, Pa./Hopkins School) was in the 70's in all three rounds, tying for 12th overall with a three-day total of 229, (78-74-77). Zane was just one stroke away from Rookie of the Year honors. He posted a 78.3 average on the season.
Ryan Kowash (Kennett Square, Pa./Unionville) showed steady improvement throughout the tournament, carding rounds of (85-83-81), posting a 242. Stephen Hoefer (Dallas, Texas/Cistercian Prep) came in with rounds of (82-87-87) for a 256.
The Red Devils combined for team scores of 329-319-318 for a three-day total of 959.
Franklin & Marshall won the team title with a score of 893 with Swarthmore taking second, four strokes back with an 897.
F&M's Stephen Colodny held off teammate Brad Lankler and Swarthmore's Vamsi Damerla by three strokes to win the individual title with a 219 (72-73-74).
