(Carlisle, Pa.)- The #12-ranked Dickinson men's lacrosse team pulled away from Ursinus College in the second half to post a 19-10 win on senior day at Biddle Field on Saturday afternoon.
Senior Dylan Maher (Ridgefield, Conn./Ridgefield) scored four goals in the first quarter to tie the program record for goals in a season as the Red Devils led 7-4 at the end of the period.
The Bears were able to cut the deficit to 9-8 before Dickinson ended the half with a 3-0 run to hold a 12-8 advantage at the break. Nick Goles (Monkton, Md./Loyola Blakefield) sandwiched a pair of goals around Maher's sixth of the game to end the half.
The Red Devils held the Bears to just one goal in the second half, outscoring the visitors 3-1 in the third and closed out the game with 5-0 run in the fourth.
Maher tallied six goals and one assist to become the program single season scoring leader with 59 goals on the year. Tyler Strods (Skaneateles, N.Y./Skaneateles) finished with three goals and three assists while Goles added a hat trick as well.
Ryan Campbell (Rumson, N.J./Rumson-Fairhaven) and Bobby Hartwick (Brookeville, Md./Georgetown Prep) combined to win 17 face-offs on the day. Campbell added seven ground balls while Hartwick picked up four.
The Red Devils improve to 13-3 overall and 7-1 in the Centennial Conference. They are the #2-seed in the conference playoffs and will host Franklin & Marshall on Wednesday.
