(Westminster, Md.) – The Dickinson men's swim team returned to Centennial Conference action on Saturday, posting a 60-35 victory at McDaniel College.
Junior Mitch Reynolds (Frederick, Md./Frederick) was a triple-winner on the day, claiming the 1000 and 500-yard freestyle events with times of 10:17.77 and 5:02.02. He joined the 200 free relay for his third win of the day as they combined for a mark of 1:30.60.
First-year James Cummings (Southbury, Conn./Pomperaug) was third in both the 500 and 1000 freestyle, posting times of 5:18.64 and 10:44.19.
Senior Alex Bennett (Baltimore, Md./Loyola Blakefield) showed well in the freestyle, capturing the 100 and 200 with times of 48.79. He earned a silver with the 200 free relay that combined for a mark of 1:34.89. Classmate Travis Lipscomb (San Antonio, Texas/Alamo Heights) went one-two-three on the day, winning the 50 freestyle (22.59), placing second in the 200 free relay and third in the 100 freestyle (50.45).
Sophomore Kiernan Jordan (Dumfries, Va./Forest Park) anchored the winning free relay and posted another win in the 100 butterfly (53.45). He also joined the second place medley relay, swimming the third leg of the event. Ben Shapiro (Wynnewood, Pa./Friends Central) anchored the medley relay, led-off the second-place free relay and posted a win in the 200 individual medley with a time of 1:58.77.
First-year Graham Novitch (Scarsdale, N.Y./Scarsdale) earned three second-place finishes, joining the medley relay and claiming silver in the 200 freestyle (1:50.36) and the 100 backstroke (54.77).
Senior Sam Eaton (Port Matilda, Pa./State College) was second with the medley relay and in the 100 breaststroke (1:00.91), touching the wall just before junior Nick Beard (Lititz, Pa./Warwick) with a time of 1:01.59.
First-year Will Freeman (Haddonfield, N.J./Pennington School) anchored the second place free relay and finished second in the 200 individual medley with a mark of 2:01.05.
Senior Sasha Jouravlev (Sparta, N.J./Sparta) earned a win with the free relay and claimed third in the 100 backstroke. Sophomore Dylan Gilhooly (Darien, Conn./Darien) swam to bronze in the 100 butterfly (55.95).
The Red Devils improve to 5-2 overall and 1-1 in the Centennial Conference. They return home to host Washington College next Saturday at 1:00 pm.
