Red Devil Men Have Great Start at 2019 CC Championships

(Allentown, Pa.) – The Dickinson men's track & field had a great start as they opened competition at the 2019 Centennial Conference Championships on Friday afternoon at Muhlenberg College.

Junior Adam Gamber (Greensburg, Pa./Hempfield) captured a silver medal in the pole vault, clearing a height of 4.30 meters. Sophomore Gavin Wood (Whitehall, Pa./Whitehall) had a top-20 finish with a height of 3.65 meters.

Junior Bryce Descavish (Ebensburg, Pa./Central Cambria) ran to a silver medal in the 10,000-meters, crossing the line with a time of 31:33.23.

Senior Duncan Hopkins (Lancaster, Pa./JP McCaskey) added a top-10 finish, clocking a time of 32:38.05 and junior Ethan Burg (Newtown, Conn./Newtown) was in the top-20 with a mark of 36:05.27.

Senior Francisco Villarreal (Carson, Calif./Carson) scored fifth-place points in the hammer throw with a toss of 35.25-meters. James Lotz (Forest Hill, Md./Gilman) was seventh at 38.39 meters. Jake Licht (Hanover, N.H./Hanover) was 12th overall with a throw of 25.91.

The Red Devils continue competition on Saturday.
