Red Devil Men Run to Title at De Sales Invite

(Allentown, Pa.) – The Dickinson men's cross country team continues to grow stronger as they captured the team title at the De Sales University Invitational on Saturday. The Red Devils combined for 52 points to better the 38-team field with York College placing second with 75.

Senior Mason Hepner (Mount Joy, Pa./Central Manheim) ran to second place in the field of 250 runners, clocking a time of 25:42. Sophomore Eric Herrmann (Saint James, N.Y./Smithtown) finished in the top 10 as well, crossing the line in 25:55 to place fifth overall.

Three Red Devils finished in a pack to claim the 14-15-16 spots. Sophomore Duncan Hopkins (Lancaster, Pa./J.P. McCaskey) came in at 26:14 with junior Nathan Udell (Annapolis, Md./Annapolis) and first-year Bryce Descavish (Ebensburg, Pa./Central Cambria) coming in with times of 26:17 and 26:19, respectively.

The Red Devils had a good preview of the course and will return to De Sales in November for the NCAA Mideast Regionals. The Red Devils travel to the Centennial Conference Championships on October 29th at Haverford College.
