Herrmann Runs to Centennial Conference Individual Title

(Haverford, Pa.) – Dickinson senior Eric Herrmann (Saint James, N.Y./Smithtown) ran to the individual title at the 2018 Centennial Conference Cross Country Championships, leading the Red Devil men to third in the team standings.

Haverford slipped away with the team title, edging Johns Hopkins 34-35, while the Red Devils combined for 79 points on the day.

Herrmann crossed the line in a winning time of 25:13 to capture the title. Junior Bryce Descavish (Ebensburg, Pa./Central Cambria) earned Second-team All-Conference with an 11th place finish, coming in at 26:00 even.

First-years Christopher Scharf (Elizabethtown, Pa./Elizabethtown) and Charles Scharf (Elizabethtown, Pa./Elizabethtown) placed 20th and 23rd with marks of 26:42 and 26:59, respectively. Senior Duncan Hopkins (Lancaster, Pa./JP McCaskey) was right there as well, posting a mark of 27:00.

Odin Bules (Union Mills, Ind./South Central) and Will Chandler (Westfield, N.J./Westfield) rounded out the Devils' top seven, coming in with times of 27:15 and 27:22.

The Red Devils will travel to the NCAA Mideast Regionals at De Sales University on November 10.
