Cuddihy Named CC Women's Lacrosse Player of the Week

(Carlisle, Pa.) – Dickinson senior goaltender Tara Cuddihy (Basking Ridge, N.J./Ridge) was named the Centennial Conference Women's Lacrosse Defensive Player of the Week.

Cuddihy turned in two strong outings last week and had a phenomenal performance as the Red Devils knocked-off #17-ranked Ithaca College. She made seven saves in a 12-7 setback to #2-ranked Trinity College on Thursday as the Devils trailed just 9-7, late in the second half.

Cuddihy came back with a monster game on Saturday, recording 16 saves, eight ground balls and three caused turnovers. She virtually shut the door on the Bombers, controlling three ground balls and causing a pair of turnovers in the final minutes to secure the win.

The Red Devils are currently 3-3 on the season. They have returned from Nashville and are scheduled to face #11-ranked Messiah College on Wednesday afternoon at 4:00 pm. The Falcons will be the Red Devils' fifth, nationally-ranked opponent this season.
