Women's Squash Falls at #12 George Washington

(Washington, D.C.) – The Dickinson women's squash team, ranked 23rd in the College Squash Association national poll, suffered a 9-0 setback at #12 George Washington University on Sunday.

Hedvika Suchankova (Olomouc, Czech Republic/St. Michael's) put up a challenge in the second flight, taking the opening set before falling (7-11, 11-4, 11-5, 13-11).

Aya Sobhy (Stroudsburg, Pa./Blair Academy) and Stuart LeMay (Harwich Port, Mass./Westover School, Conn.) had strong showings, and Abbie Wingerd (Berwyn, Pa./Conestoga) put up scores of (11-7, 11-9, 11-3) in a tough loss in the ninth.

The Red Devils slip to 1-5 on the season. They travel to Western Ontario on January 11, for a 5:00 pm start.
