(Gettysburg, Pa.) – The Dickinson College men's and women's swim teams joined the Gettysburg Invitational on Saturday. They both placed fourth overall, having not competed in Friday's events. Johns Hopkins won on the men's side with 1150 points with Gettysburg placing second with 841.5 and Mary Washington third with 546.5. The Red Devils tallied 257 points on Saturday.
Hopkins captured the women's title with 1201 points to better Gettysburg (706) and UMW (637), with the Devils scoring 233 points.
Carson Gannon (Morristown, N.J./Morristown Beard) placed second in the 500 freestyle with a time of 5:11.27. She joined the 200 free relay to capture fourth with a time of 1:44.75.
Eva Kolstad (Cheshire, Conn./Hopkins School) swam the lead leg of the free relay and had a top 10 finish in the 50 freestyle with a time of 25.80. Sophomore Gillie Grattan (Richmond, Va./Trinity Episcopal) and first-year Johanna Fleming (Northampton, Mass./Northampton) swam the third and fourth legs of the relay.
Jason Adams (Kingston, Jamaica/Kent School, Conn.) led the men with a third place finish in the 50 freestyle with a time of 21.13. He placed fourth with the 200 free relay (1:28.02) and fifth with the 400 medley relay (3:37.87) as well.
Ed Barnard (Springfield, Pa./Haverford School) and Zach Yocum (Lebanon, Pa./Cedar Crest) joined both relays while Brandon Gauthier (Greensburg, Pa./Hempfield) joined the free relay and added a seventh place finish in the 200 individual medley (2:00.28).
Cris Miranda (Columbus, Ohio/Upper Arlington) swam the third leg of the medley relay.
The Red Devils travel to Messiah College on Tuesday night. The meet is scheduled to start at 7:00 pm.
