Scranton Swims Past Red Devils on Saturday

(Carlisle, Pa.) – The Dickinson women's swim team suffered a 120-85 setback to the visiting University of Scranton on Saturday afternoon at the Kline Center.

Sophomore Molly Sternick (Greensburg, Pa./Hempfield) earned three wins on the day. She was part of the winning medley relay, adding wins in the 50 and 100 freestyle events with times of 25.58 and 55.96.

Sophomore Demetria Ruhl (Wilmington, Del./Wilmington Friends) and first-year Madison Littlepage (Aldie, Va./John Champe) went one-two in the 1000 freestyle with times of 11:17.43 and 11:28.91, respectively. Ruhl added another win in the 200 butterfly, clocking a time of 2:18.69, while Littlepage was second with the 200 free relay.

Senior Samantha Holden (Garret Park, Md./Walter Johnson) anchored the medley relay, placed second with the free relay and was third in the 100 freestyle with a time of 57.26.

First-year Hannah Griffith (Lansdale, Pa./William Penn Charter) and Devon Korhammer (Easton, Pa./Moravian Academy) rounded out the medley relay while Griffith captured silver in the 200 breaststroke with a time of 2:36.36.

Junior Shannon Bonner (Schnecksville, Pa./Parkland) was second in the 200 freestyle (2:05.88) and anchored the free relay while Zimmy Tran (Lansdale, Pa./North Penn) joined the relay as well and was third in the butterfly at 2:33.37. Lindsay Robinson (Holland, Pa./Council Rock South) added a bronze in the 200 individual medley (2:23.91).

The Red Devils slip to 3-2 overall. They are home again next Saturday, hosting Bloomsburg University at 1:00 pm.
