(Westminster, Md.) – The Dickinson women's swim team swam past McDaniel College, 57-32, on Wednesday night.
Molly Sternick (Greensburg, Pa./Hempfield) won three events on the night, touching the wall first in the 50-freestyle (25.36) and the 100-butterfly (1:00.49), and joined the winning 200-medley relay.
Sammy Boswell (Linwood, N.J./Mainland Regional) anchored the medley relay and added a win the 100-freestyle (56.55) and second in the 50 with a time of 25.74. Katie Schmidt (Plymouth, Minn./Breck School) led-off the medley relay and claimed second in the 100-backstroke with a time of 1:01.82.
Hannah Griffith (Lansdale, Pa./William Penn Charter) joined the medley relay and had a strong showing in the breaststroke with a time of 1:11.07.
Senior Olivia Lyman (Mount Kisco, N.Y./Horace Greely) won the 1000 and 500-freestyle events, posting times of 10:54.15 and 5:17.05. Amanda Meinschein (Mt. Airy, Md./St. Maria Goretti) was second in the 1000-freestyle with a mark of 12:30.00.
Hadley Starr (New Fairfield, Conn./New Fairfield) was second in the 500-freestyle while Audree Khalishah (Jakarta, Indonesia/Jakarta International School) finished third in the 100-butterfly (1:04.75).
First-year Maddi Vlattas (Herndon, Va./Westfield) and Demetria Ruhl (Wilmington, Del./Wilmington Friends) placed second and third in the 200-Individual medley while Sasha Arefyev (Pittsburgh, Pa./Shady Side) claimed silver in the 200-freestyle with a time of 2:03.77 and Shannon Bonner (Schnecksville, Pa./Parkland) was third in the 200 with a mark of 2:06.81. Devon Panzirer (Weston, Conn./Weston) added a second-place showing in the 100-freestyle in a time of 58.53.
The Red Devils return home to face Washington College on Saturday at 1:00 pm.
