(Carlisle, Pa.) - The Dickinson College women's tennis team rallied from a 2-1 deficit after doubles for a 6-3 win over visiting East Stroudsburg University on Tuesday. The Red Devils captured all but the top singles flight to turn back the Division II Warriors.


First-years Sarah Cantor (Providence, R.I.) and Hayley Maxwell (Pound Ridge, N.Y.) recorded a 9-7 victory in the third doubles flght to put the Devils on the board.


Senior Nora Hajnoczky (Wallingford, Conn./Strath Haven) earned a straight set win in the second singles spot, 6-1, 6-1. Classmate Brittany Zoll (Malvern, Pa./Shipley) earned the point in the third flight, 3-6, 6-2, 10-8). 


Leigh Oczkowski (Binghamton, N.Y./Seton Catholic) and Madeline Altholtz (Cohasset, Mass./Cohasset) posted identical (6-1, 6-1) wins in the fourth and fifth flights, and Dominque Hedderich (Walton, Neb.) added straight set win in the sixth, 6-0, 6-1.


The Red Devils improve to 2-0 in the season. They host Wilkes University on October 13th to wrap up the fall season.
