(Carlisle, Pa.) – The Dickinson women's tennis team suffered a 9-0 setback to visiting Washington College on Saturday afternoon.
The Shorewomen had a strong start in doubles and carried that momentum into the singles flights. The Red Devils had some strong starts as Lexi Epstein (Falmouth, Maine/Waynflete), Olivia Shea (West Hartford, Conn./Kingswood Oxford) and Emily Sprague (South Burlington, Vt./Bluffton) all went to 4-6 in the opening set.
Kirsten Brodeen (Fort Collins, Colo./Rocky Mountain) battled in the fifth (6-1, 7-6 (7-1).
The Red Devils slip to 6-8 overall and 2-4 in the Centennial Conference. They are scheduled to travel to Gettysburg College on Wednesday for a 4:00 pm match with the Bullets.
