(Geneva, Ohio) – Dickinson first-year Sarah House (Merrimack, N.H./Merrimack) clocked a time of 18:23.93 in the 5000 meters at the 2017 NCAA National Championships on Saturday afternoon. House finished as one of the top-20 runners in the nation in just her first collegiate season.
House had an outstanding rookie season, qualifying for nationals with a season-best mark of 17:10.58, competing against Division I competition at the Bucknell Bison Outdoor Classic. She earned U.S. Track & Field/Cross Country Coaches Association All-Region honors in the event and turned in some great performances at the Centennial Conference Championships.
House claimed bronze in the 5000 meters at the conference meet and ranked second in the conference this season and in the top 10 in program history in her first year of collegiate competition.
