Women's Track & Field Tunes Up for Conferences

(Elizabethtown, Pa.) – The Dickinson women's track & field team placed fifth at the Elizabethtown Blue Jay Final Tune-Up as they prepare for the Centennial Conference Championships.

Sophomore Natalie Suess (New Egypt, N.J./New Egypt) won the 200 meters and joined the 4x100 relay for another first-place showing on the day. Liana Tabtiang (Wellesley, Mass./Welleley) was third in the 200 and ran the anchor leg of the relay.

Sophomore Wrutoe Bonwin (Lynn, Mass./KIPP Academy Lynn Collegiate) ran the lead leg of the relay and also finished in the top 10 of the 200 meters.

Sophomore Mary Smith (Carlisle, Pa./Carlisle) had a great day in the throwing events. She captured second in hammer, third in the discus and was 10th in the shot put.

Teressa Healy (Pelham, N.Y./Loyola School) ran to bronze in the 3000-meter steeplechase while first-year Annie Ulian (Wellesley Hills, Mass./Wellesley) and Micaela Kitchen (Doylestown, Pa./C.B. East) finished seventh and eighth in the 800, respectively.

First-year Cara Dougherty (Haddon Township, Pa./Haddon Township) crossed the line fifth in the 400 meter hurdles, and Amelia Hallock (New York, N.Y./Millenium) and Natalie Ginez (Dayton, N.J./South Brunswick) came in ninth and 10th in the 1500.

The Red Devils travel to the Centennial Conference Championships next weekend at Ursinus College.
