Spartans Work Way Past Red Devils

(York, Pa.) – The Dickinson women's volleyball team suffered a 3-0 setback in a non-conference match-up at York College on Wednesday night.

The Red Devils played three strong sets, falling 25-17 in the opener and coming up just short in the second, 25-23. The Spartans held on to secure the win with a 25-18 score to improve to 12-6 on the season.

Sophomore setter Kristin Allgaier (Reston, Va./South Lakes) dished out 19 assists and had eight digs while first-year Morgan Biggs (Stephenson, Va./James Wood) led the attack with nine kills on the night.

Sophomore Jamie Singer (Livingston, N.J./Golda Och) recorded seven kills and 14 digs while Hannah Riley (Littlestown, Pa./Littlestown) and Emma Lange (Jupiter, Fla./Benjamin) each tallied five kills.

Sophomore Tatiana Lopez (Guaynabo, Puerto Rico/Colegio Puertorriqueno de Ninas) picked up 18 digs and Jacqueline Banker (Rockaway Park, N.Y./Archbishop Malloy) added nine.

The Red Devils fall to 8-13 overall. They are on the road again tomorrow night, traveling to Lancaster Bible College for a 7:00 pm start.
