Red Devil Women Run to Second at Slippery Rock Invite

(Coopers Lake, Pa.) – The Dickinson College women's cross country team raced to a second place finish at the Slippery Rock Invitational on Saturday. The Red Devils finished behind Penn State University Club team (37 pts), scoring 47 points to better third place Elizabethtown College (70).


Junior Catherine Campbell (Carlisle, Pa./Trinity) was the top Devil finisher, crossing the line fifth with a time of 23:00. First-year Taylor Ludman (Willow Street, Pa./Solanco) ran a great race to place sixth with a time of 23:03.


Five Red Devils placed in the top 20. Senior Kim Powell (Canton, Conn./Canton) finished eighth with a time of 23:17 while first-year Emily Miller (Lehnartsville, Pa./Kutztown Area) clocked a time of 23:52 to place 11th. Junior Rebecca Robbins (Pittsburgh, Pa./Mt. Lebanon) came across 17th with a time of 24:23.


The Red Devils were ranked 18th, nationally, in the UST&FCC CA NCAA poll this week. They travel to the DeSales Invitational next Saturday.
