(Carlisle, Pa.) – Dickinson senior quarterback Billy Burger (Carlisle, Pa./Carlisle) was named the Centennial Conference Football Offensive Player of the Week, following an outstanding performance against Moravian College on Saturday. The Red Devils came out on top, 36-29, scoring with just 12 seconds remaining.
Burger set a school record, completing 33 passes on the day. The senior went 33-for-58, ranking second in single-game passing yardage with 325, throwing for three touchdowns. He had touchdown strikes of 47 and 24 yards, and then hit roommate Jake Walbert (Sinking Spring, Pa./Wilson) from seven yards out with 12 seconds remaining for the game-winning score.
His 58 attempts rank him second on the single-game list while he also moved into second in career completions (389), attempts (701) and passing yards (3,939).
The Red Devils improved to 4-5 overall and 4-4 in the Centennial Conference. They travel to Ursinus College for the regular season finale next Saturday.
