(Carlisle, Pa.) – The Dickinson field hockey team turned in a strong performance against visiting Juniata College, posting a 2-0 shutout on Wednesday afternoon.

The Red Devils were relentless on both ends of the field, recording 20 shots while holding the Eagles to none on the defensive side.

The Red Devils tallied an insurance goal in the fourth as junior Maddie Dombroski (Boiling Springs, Pa./Boiling Springs) found the back of the cage with 9:02 remaining in regulation.

Hannah Spiri (Morgantown, Pa./Twin Valley) and Ellie Werner (Hellertown, Pa./Moravian Academy) gave strong defensive efforts in the middle with solid play on the outside from seniors Olivia Young (Orrtanna, Pa./Gettysburg) and Jillian Beemon (Ann Arbor, Mich./Skyline).

Senior Heather Meeder (Baltimore, Md./Notre Dame Prep) earned the shutout while Nicole Piccioni finished with seven saves as the Red Devils held an 11-0 advantage in penalty corners.
