(Allentown, Pa.) – The Dickinson men's basketball team couldn't overcome a slow start at Muhlenberg College on Wednesday night, falling 75-59.

Despite the frigid temperatures, Muhlenberg was hot from long range, using four three-pointers to jump out to an 18-6 lead to start the game.

Bryce Allen (Albany, N.Y./The Hills School) countered with a three-pointer and a three-point play from Onye Okoro (Voorhees, N.J./Eastern) cut the deficit to 21-14.

Ryan Devine (New Egypt, N.J./New Egypt) hit a three-pointer and then fed first-year Adam Drummond (Cork, Ireland/Taft School, Conn.) for a triple to pull the Red Devils within four at the 1:42 mark.

The Mules knocked down a late three-pointer to take a 35-28 lead at halftime.

Mike Hinckley (Bryn Mawr, Pa./Episcopal Academy) banged a three-pointer to make the score 39-35 to start the second half. The Mules answered with back-to-back triples and Nate Henty Brown hit his fifth of the game to put Muhlenberg on top, 48-38.

Noah Watson hit his fourth three-pointer of the night, stretching the margin to 53-38 before Devine finished a strong move to the rim to answer at the 11:42 mark.

Will Colleran (Wayne, Pa./Valley Forge Military Academy) made a strong offensive rebound and put-back before the Mules sank a three on the other end for a 56-42 lead at the nine-minute mark.

Allen connected on a three-pointer but Henty Brown matched it on the other end with his sixth of the night.

Elijah Wright (Orange, N.J./The Pennington School) made a strong move to the basket and then went coast to coast off a steal for a three-point play to close the gap to 61-50. Wright made a pair of steals and the Red Devils were within 61-54, with five minutes remaining.

The Mules worked the lead back to 66-54, but Wright countered with a three-point play. Colleran traded layups with Dan Gaines to move the count to 68-59 with 1:43 on the clock.

Hinckley came away with a pair of steals but the Red Devils were unable to capitalize. The Mules closed out the night to claim a 75-59 win.

Wright led the Red Devils with 17 points and three steals while Allen reached double-figures with 14 points. Drummond tallied seven points and five rebounds and Colleran added six points, seven rebounds, an assist and blocked shot. Hinckley had five steals.

The Red Devils slip to 9-11 overall and 7-6 in the Centennial Conference. They are on the road again on Saturday, traveling to Haverford College for a 3:00 pm tip-off.
