(Carlisle, Pa.) – Dickinson senior Mike Hinckley (Bryn Mawr, Pa./Episcopal Academy) has been named to the All-Centennial Conference Men's Basketball Team, announced on Tuesday. Hinckley makes his first appearance on the All-CC squad, earning Second-team honors.
Hinckley had a great senior year to cap a outstanding career as a Red Devil. He played in 99 games as a Red Devil, making 87 starts after breaking into the lineup in his rookie season. He finished with 922 career points, ranking third all-time with 155 steals and fifth with 273 assists. Hinckley started all 25 games this season, averaging 12.3 points per game and 3.8 rebounds. He led the team with 78 assists and 42 steals, knocking down 30 three-pointers as well.
He opened the season by hitting a remarkable 28 consecutive free throws, ranking second all-time in program history. He ranked second in the CC and was one of the top free throw shooters in the country at 91 percent from the line and ranks in the top 10 in the program at 81.6 percent for his career.
During his tenure, Hinckley led the Red Devils to three Centennial Conference playoff appearances and was a starter in the 2016 championship game.
Hinckley was recently named to the CoSIDA Academic All-District team, is a three-time member of the Centennial Conference Academic Honor Roll and has achieved Dean's List status throughout his time at Dickinson. Majoring in psychology and economics he has proven to be an outstanding student-athlete and ambassador for the program and the college, both on and off the court, in the classroom and in the Dickinson and Carlisle community.
He was awarded the John Montgomery Merit Scholarship and received the 2018 Joseph J Myers Prize for academic achievement and contribution to a varsity athletic program. He will graduate this May and is looking to pursue a postgraduate degree in the field of sports psychology.
Sophomore guard Ryan Devine (New Egypt, N.J./New Egypt) was named to the All-Centennial Conference Sportsmanship Team.
