Men's Golf Fifth at Penn State Harrisburg Invite

(Harrisburg, Pa.) – The Dickinson men's golf team combined for a score of 639 to finish fifth at the 10-team Penn State Harrisburg Invitational on Sunday and Monday at the Country Club of Harrisburg. The Red Devils moved into fifth after the first day of competition, scoring a 320 and held that position with a round of 319 this afternoon.

Franklin & Marshall edged Lebanon Valley College for the team title, 604-607. Penn State Berks was third with 626 and McDaniel was just seven strokes in front of the Red Devils.

First-year Drew Stern (Yardley, Pa./St. Joseph's Prep) led the way, posting a top-10 finish with a two-day total of 154, shooting 78 on Sunday and a team-low of 76 on Monday.

Classmate Chan Park (Old Tappan, N.J./Northern Valley Old Tappan) was 12th overall, carding rounds of 78 and 79 for a 157. Another first-year has a solid tournament as Christopher Joson (Pittsburgh, Pa./Upper St. Clair) shot back-to-back 81's to place in the top 20 with a 162.

Senior Stephen Bonacci (McLean, Va./Langley) turned in an 88 and 83 for a 171 and sophomore Jacob Liberman (Wayne, Pa./Friends' Central) went 83-92-175 for the Red Devils.

F&M's Jared Berlin captured medalist honors with a 142, shooting 67 on Sunday and 75 today.

The Red Devils are in action again tomorrow, traveling to the Elizabethtown Invitational for a 1:00 pm start.
