Red Devil First-years Have Solid Outing in Opener

(Mt. Wolf, Pa.) – The Dickinson men's golf team finished seventh at the 14-team Spartan Invitational, hosted by York College at the Royal Manchester Golf Club on Saturday and Sunday.

First-year Brandon Wilson (Perry Hall, Md./St. Paul's School) led the Red Devils with a top-10 showing in his first collegiate match, turning in rounds of 75 and 77.

Sophomore William McCann (Madison, N.J./Morristown Beard) posted scores of 76 and 78 to add a top-20 finish.

First-year Joseph Hudak (Phoenix, Md./St. Paul's School) had a strong debut with rounds of 82 and 73 while classmates Peter Lown (Portsmouth, N.H./Portsmouth) and Will Giguere (Providence, R.I./The Wheeler School) came in with scores of (85-80) and (86-80), respectively.

Stevenson University won the team title with combined scores of 313-293-606 to edge host York by two strokes 307-301-608. The Red Devils went 318-308-626.

The Red Devils are scheduled to compete at the Elizabethtown Invitational on September 17.
