Charlie DeMuth '19 (Baltimore, MD)

Major: Policy Management, Economics

Internship: Intern on the Senate Small Business and Entrepreneurship Committee (Capitol Hill - Washington D.C.)

Why Charlie chose this internship: I chose this internship to explore how government policies effect the private sector, specifically small businesses.

 

Austin Hurdle '19 (Cockeysville, MD)

Major: International Business and Management

Internship: Marketing Intern, at Mid-Atlantic Waterproofing (Columbia, MD)

Why Austin chose this internship: I chose this internship to gain interpersonal communication skills in a business setting.

 

Zach Levin '20 (Simsbury, CT)

Major: Policy Management | Minor: Economics

Internship: Product Marketing Intern, at Legrand (West Hartford, CT)

Why Zach chose this internship: I chose this internship because it provided me with a great opportunity to gain relevant experience and knowledge in a growing business, where I can expand my network. As an intern in the product marketing division, I have the ability to work with marketing, product manufacturing, and sales allowing me to gain a diverse array of skills.

Why John chose this internship: I chose this internship because it provides me with an opportunity to get an up-close look at what life is like in the finance world at a major commercial bank.

 

Michael Marinelli '19 (Newbury Park, CA)

Major: Environmental Science

Internship: Maryland Oyster Restoration Intern, at The Chesapeake Bay Foundation (Annapolis, MD)

Why Michael chose this internship: I chose this internship to pursue my passion of finding solutions for the growing demand on aquatic resources for ecological and societal stakeholders. I have always dreamed of working on the Chesapeake Bay. It perfectly demonstrates these increasing demands. Oyster restoration is a great way to help both the ecosystem, and people within the watershed.  

 

Will Smith '20 (Buffalo, NY)

Major: Political Science, earning the Security Studies certificate | Minor: Economics

Internship: Account Services Intern, at The Martin Group (Buffalo, NY)

Why Will chose this internship: I know marketing is a fast-paced industry that will allow me to be creative, write, and work with other people. Interning at the Martin Group allows me to get hands-on experience bringing the vision companies have for their brands to life. My internship has been an awesome experience, creating marketing materials and press releases for brands like Under Armour lacrosse, Asics, Catholic Charities of WNY and others. Interning at The Martin Group has been a rewarding experience that has helped me learn skills I'll be able to use in any field.
