Red Devils Hold Top Spot With 3-0 Win in Allentown

(Allentown, Pa.) – The Dickinson men's soccer team continued to hold the top spot in the Centennial Conference with a 3-0 win at Muhlenberg College on Wednesday night, improving to 5-1-1. The Red Devils hold a one-point lead on Johns Hopkins (16-15), with two games remaining in the regular season.

Junior Kevin Gilbert (Boxford, Mass./Masconomet Regional) added a pair of goals, raising his season total to a conference-best 10 on the year. First-year Frederick Cisse (New Haven, Pa./Pomfret School) scored in the 82nd minute to rank second in the CC behind Gilbert with eight goals in his rookie campaign.

The Red Devils took a 1-0 lead in the first half as Gilbert finished an assist from Centennial Conference Defensive Player of the Week, Tayler Eynon (Lancaster, Pa./Lancaster Country Day) in the 13th minute of the match.

Eynon served up his conference-best sixth assist of the season, connecting with Gilbert again in the 65th minute to stretch the margin to 2-0.

Cisse tallied another insurance goal, scoring his eighth of the season in the 82nd minute as the Red Devils improved to 10-3-1 on the season.

Junior Frederick Meagher (Southport, Conn./Fairfield-Ludlowe) made five saves while the Red Devil defense cleared a threat off the line to preserve the shutout.

The Red Devils travel to Haverford College on Saturday for a 3:00 pm start before closing out the conference schedule with Johns Hopkins at 4:00 pm on October 27.
