Gilbert Earns U.S. Soccer Coaches All-Region Honors

(Carlisle, Pa.) – Dickinson senior Kevin Gilbert (Boxford, Mass./Phillips Exeter Academy) was named to the U.S. Soccer Coaches Division III All-Region Men's Soccer Team, announced on Monday. Gilbert makes his second straight appearance on the All-Region squad, earning Second-team honors in 2018 and Third-team recognition this fall.

He made his third appearance on the All-CC squad as a Second-team selection in 2017 and elevating to the First-team for the past two seasons. He ranked sixth in the conference with nine goals, raising his career total to 35, placing him third all-time in program history. He added 11 assists to rank fourth in career points with 81. He tallied season-highs of five points with two goals and an assist against both RPI and then-unbeaten Swarthmore in the conference opener.

Gilbert broke onto the single season top 10 lists with 12 goals in 2018 and 13 goals and 31 points in 2017.

The Red Devils put together a late run, going 8-3 at the end of the season to claim the #3-seed in the Centennial Conference playoffs. They faced #3-ranked Johns Hopkins in back-to-back matches in the regular season finale and the conference semifinal, closing out the year 10-8 overall.
