Ursinus Tops Red Devils in Swimming Season Opener

(Collegeville, Pa.) – The Dickinson men's swim team opened the season at Ursinus College, falling 117-84 in Collegeville.

Senior Will Freeman (Haddonfield, N.J./Pennington) had a strong start to the season, winning the 200 individual medley and the 200-yard breaststroke and placing second with the 400-medley relay.

Tyler Catania (Spotswood, N.J./St. Joseph) was a double-winner as well, joining the 400-free relay and touching the wall first in the 200-butterfly. John Crafa (Garden City, N.Y./Garden City) was third in the butterfly and added another second with the medley relay.

Graham Novitch (Scarsdale, N.Y./Scarsdale) joined the free relay as well, adding a pair of seconds in the 200-yard backstroke and with the medley relay.

Sophomore Ben Shoul (Hanover, Pa./Southwestern) anchored the free relay and placed second in the 50-freestyle. Classmate Damon St. Prix (Barbados/Peddie School, N.J.) claimed third in both the 100 and 200-yard freestyle to go with a first-place finish with the free relay.

Logan Cort (Brookeville, Md./Mercersburg) went second and third in the 1000 and 500-yad freestyle while Cameron McConagha (Broadlands, Va./Briar Woods) anchored the medley relay and placed third in the breaststroke.

The Red Devils are home next Saturday, hosting Wilkes University and Lebanon Valley College at 1:00 pm.
