Red Devils Host Messiah in Early Morning Invite

(Carlisle, Pa.) – The Dickinson men's indoor track & field team returned to action on Saturday, hosting Messiah College in last-minute dual-meet at the Kline Center.

The Red Devils had some strong performances on the day. First-year Ben Brandeis (Allison Park, Pa./Hampton) captured three events, winning the 55-meter hurdles with a time of 8.45 and posting marks of 25.23 and 53.14 in the 200 and 400-meters, respectively.

Sophomore Garrett Randall (Gwynn Oak, Md./Loyola-Blakefield) ran to second in the 55-meters and the 200 while classmate Christian Moran (Halifax, Mass./Silver Lake) was third in both events.

Classmate Titus Clark (Carlisle, Pa./Carlisle) claimed wins in the high jump (1.75m) and the long jump, clearing a distance of 6.61 meters. Tristan Clark (Dillsburg, Pa./Northern York) was third in the long jump at 5.11 meters.

Senior Eric Herrmann (Saint James, N.Y./Smithtown) won the 800 meters with a mark of 1:58.13 and crossed the line in 4:20.31 to place first in the mile.

The Red Devils had a great showing in the field events with a one-two in the pole vault with Adam Gamber (Greensburg, Pa./Hempfield) and Gavin Wood (Whitehall, Pa./Whitehall) clearing 4.25 and 3.95 meters, respectively.

In the shot put, Brock Hartman (Hanover, Pa./New Oxford) won the event with a throw of 12.77 meters. Francisco Villarreal (Carson, Calif./Carson) was third with a toss of 11.37 meters.

The Red Devils return to action next Friday, traveling to the Franklin & Marshall Invitational.
