(Carlisle, Pa.) – The Dickinson men's track & field team continued to prepare for the outdoor championships, competing at the Muhlenberg College Invitational on Saturday.
Junior Matthew Loalbo (Hamden, Conn./Hamden) led the way on the track, placing second in the 5000-meters.
First-year Titus Clark (Carlisle, Pa./Carlisle) had a strong showing in the field, winning the long jump and placing fourth in the high jump while sophomore Ben Sobel (Hanover, N.H./Hanover) finished seventh in the high jump.
Adam Gamber (Greensburg, Pa./Hempfield) had another solid performance in the pole vault, capturing third on the day and sophomore Brock Hartman (Hanover, Pa./New Oxford) placed seventh in the shot put.
Junior Thomas Riordan (Campbell, S.C./Landrum) and first-year Christopher Scharf (Elizabethtown, Pa./Elizabethtown) finished seventh and eighth in the 1500 meters, securing conference qualifiers in the event.
First-year Aaron Brick (Wilmington, Del./Wilmington Friends) captured a pair of bronze medals with collegiate bests, finishing third in the 200 and 400-meters.
The Red Devils relay of Brick, Kacper Rzempoluch (Princeton, NJ/West Windsboro Plainsboro North), Scharf and Riordan ran a season best time, adding a fifth-place showing in the 4x400.
The Red Devils are scheduled to compete at the Messiah College Invitational next weekend as well as the Bucknell Distance Carnival on Saturday.
