(Carlisle, Pa.) – Dickinson senior Bryce Descavish (Ebensburg, Pa./Central Cambria) and sophomore Christopher Scharf (Elizabethtown, Pa./Elizabethtown) were both named to the All-Centennial Conference Men's Cross Country Team, announced on Thursday morning.
Descavish earns his third straight nod, claiming First-team this season and in 2017, and running to Second-team recognition in 2018. He led the Red Devils in every race this fall and finished sixth at the conference championship.
Descavish was the 2016 Centennial Conference Rookie of the Year and earned All-Region honors for the past two seasons. He was named to the All-Mideast Region Freshman Team as well in 2016. Descavish was also named to the All-Centennial Conference Sportsmanship Team.
Scharf was a Second-team selection with an eighth-place finish at the conference championship. He was the Red Devils' number two runner all season, posting a season-best third place showing at the Little Three Championships.
The Red Devils are currently ranked 32nd in the U.S. Track & Field/Cross Country Coaches Association national poll are fourth in the Mideast Region. They return to competition on November 16, traveling to Lehigh University for the 2019 NCAA Mideast Regional Championships.
