(Carlisle, Pa.) – Dickinson senior Madison Milaszewski (Rutland, Mass./Sutton) was named to the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) All-Atlantic Region Softball Team, announced this week.
Milaszewksi was a Second-team selection on the All-Region squad and was a unanimous decision as the Centennial Conference Pitcher of the Year, throwing three complete games in the conference tournament. She turned in a remarkable performance in the second round, flirting with a perfect game. After hitting one batter and walking another, Milaszewski was untouchable the rest of the way, throwing just the fourth no-hitter in the history of the tournament.
Milaszewski was a First-team selection as well, earning her third straight appearance on the All-Conference roster, receiving Second-team honors in 2017 and 2018. She had an outstanding senior season, leading the conference with 136 strikeouts and a remarkable 1.04 earned run average. She is currently 16-6 on the season, tying for second in program history for wins in a season.
She set the school record with 108 career appearances, ranking second in career starts, wins and innings pitched. She is currently third all-time in strikeouts, complete games and saves as well. She is just the third pitcher in program history to record over 400 strikeouts, booking 452 with over 100 in of the past four seasons. She had an outstanding performance in the playoffs, earning Tournament MVP honors with two shutouts and a 9-1 win in the opening round.
The Red Devils earned an automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament, going 1-2 in Kentucky to close out the season with an overall record of 25-17. Head Coach Matt Richwine was named the Conference Coach of the Year, leading the Red Devils to their second Centennial Conference title this spring.
