Women's Golf Sets School Record at Gettysburg Invite

(Hanover, Pa.) – The Dickinson women's golf team finished fourth at the two-day, eight-team Gettysburg Fall Invitational at the Hanover Country Club.

The Red Devils cut three strokes off their team score from Saturday, combining for a 347 on the day. The Red Devils set a school record with a two-day score of 697, eclipsing the mark of 698 at the 2015 Centennial Conference Championships.

Senior Hannah Heiring (Wayzata, Minn./Wayzata) and junior Olivia Brown (Chevy Chase, Md./Bethesda-Chevy Chase) both carded rounds of 85 to finish in the top 20. 

Mia Henry (Timonium, Md./Roland Park) had a career-best 87 on Saturday and came back with and 88 on Sunday.

Himeno Yamane (Astoria, N.Y./Hunter College) dropped five strokes from Saturday to card an 89 while Natalie Kurzawa (Oakmont, Pa./Oakland Catholic) had a 103.

Stevenson University claimed the team title with a score of 636, edging a tie-breaker with York College. Gettysburg was third with a 661. 

The Red Devils are next in action on October 5, hosting the Dickinson Fall Invitational at the Carlisle Barracks Golf Course.
