(Greensboro, N.C.) – Dickinson senior Olivia Lyman (Mount Kisco, N.Y./Horace Greeley) swam to All-America honors in the 500-yard freestyle on the opening day of the 2019 NCAA Division III Swimming Championships in Greensboro, North Carolina.
Lyman finished 13th overall in the prelims on Wednesday morning, earning a spot in the evening's consolation final. She had a great performance, finishing in the top 15 overall with a time of 4:59.90.
Lyman earns Honorable Mention All-America recognition and will compete later this week in both the 200-freestyle and close out with the 1650-freestyle. The 200 is the fourth event on the schedule for Thursday's 10:00 am prelim session and the finals are set for 6:00 pm on Thursday night. The 1650 goes straight to the finals at 6:00 pm on Saturday.
Lyman holds individual school records in 200, 500, 1000 and 1650-freestyle and another with the 800-free relay.
