Red Devils Dominate Owls in 3-0 Sweep

(Bryn Mawr, Pa.) – The Dickinson volleyball team broke back into the win column with a dominant performance at Bryn Mawr College on Thursday night, sweeping the Owls, 3-0.

The Red Devils had a great start, taking the opening set, 25-12, and rolled to a 25-6 win in the second. The Owls trailed just 12-7 in the third set before the Red Devils went on a big run to close out the match, 25-9.

Senior Norma Jean Park (Basking Ridge, N.J./Ridge) led a balanced attack at the net with five kills while Megan Gombatz (Farmington, Conn./Farmington) had four kills on the night.

Kristin Allgaier (Reston, Va./South Lakes) tallied 17 assists to go with two aces and six digs. Tatiana Lopez (Gauynabo, Puerto Rico/Colegio Puertorriqueno de Ninas) had 10 digs and was just one shy of a school record with nine service aces.

The Red Devils improve to 6-10 overall and 1-3 in the Centennial Conference. They return home to face Ursinus College and Lancaster Bible on Saturday at 11:00 am and 3:00 pm.
