(Carlisle, Pa.) – The Dickinson volleyball team opened the Stevenson University Mustang Quad Match with a 3-0 setback to the unbeaten hosts on Friday night.
Stevenson jumped out early, taking the opening set 25-11. The Red Devils had strong sets in the second and third, closing the gap throughout match (25-18, 25-22).
Sophomore Emma Lange (Jupiter, Fla./Benjamin) had another strong outing, going 7-for-10 on the night for a hitting percentage of 60 percent. Hanna Riley (Littlestown, Pa./Littlestown) and Jordyn Park (Great Falls, Va./Flint Hill) tallied five and four kills, respectively.
Kristin Allgaier (Reston, Va./South Lakes) dished out 17 assists and picked up eight digs. She combined with Kylie Albertsen (Woodstock, Md./Marriots Ridge) to score three points on three combined blocks on the night.
Tatiana Lopez (Guaynabo, Puerto Rico/Colegio Puertorriqueno de Niñas) led the Red Devils with 12 digs and four assists while Jamie Singer (Livingston, N.J./Golda Och) tallied seven digs and two assists.
The Red Devils slip to 4-3 overall. They return to Stevenson on Saturday to face Salisbury University and Gallaudet on day two of the Mustang Quad Match.
