When a uniquely compelling narrative entices us to leave the bubble, we occasionally follow a story outside the NESCAC+.  This interview is one of those cases.

Don Nichter has coached at Dickinson for the past 34 years. As XC and T&F fans, we love institutional longevity as it gives a coach the chance to build and leave a legacy, and Nichter is doing just that.

With 15 conference titles, a run of XC Championships in the late '90's and 2000's, and a string of top 3 finishes since, he has the resume to put him in the National Hall of Fame. His teams slug it out in the Centennial Conference that is also home to Johns Hopkins and Haverford, so he has plenty of competition to test his team's metal.

As the head of the Dickinson men's and women's XC and T&F programs he is a busy man, but still found time to talk with TrackYack, and for that we are very thankful.
