Alec Beatty joined Dickinson College Athletics in September 2024 and currently serves as a member of the senior athletic administration team. In this role, he helps oversee business operations, equipment and facilities, the Kline Fitness Center, and day-to-day departmental operations and strategy.
Prior to Dickinson, Beatty served as the Director of Operations, Facilities, and Rentals for Yale University Athletics. At Yale, he managed all aspects of rental events and revenue generation for external facility users. He co-founded the Yale Athletics Fellowship Program to hire and mentor entry-level professionals, collaborated with Yale General Counsel to review and update facility usage agreements, and oversaw coach-run camps and clinics. He also assisted with capital projects and served as the department’s liaison for Yale’s partnership with the Westville Music Bowl.
Before Yale, Beatty worked at the University of Central Florida as a Staff Assistant for Facilities and Event Management, leading event operations for UCF Women’s Soccer and supporting additional sports including football and basketball. He began his career at the University of Washington as a Sport Operations Graduate Assistant, where he served as Assistant Event Director for NCAA and Pac-12 events.
A native of Kansas, Beatty earned a Master of Education with a concentration in Intercollegiate Athletic Leadership from the University of Washington in 2021. During the 2019–2020 academic year, he received a Fulbright Award and taught English in Kosovo. He is a 2019 graduate of Macalester College, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science. A four-year football student-athlete, he earned AFCA Division III All-American honors as a wide receiver in 2018.
