MacPhail Field became the new home for the Dickinson baseball program in 2004. MacPhail received renovations with new branded fencing and a sound system in 2017. Â
The field is named for Dickinson alumni Andrew "Andy" MacPhail '76, Bruce MacPhail '73, and Allen MacPhail '67. The MacPhail family is well known in the sport, as all three brothers have ties to Major League Baseball. Andy MacPhail '76 is the current President of Baseball Operations for the Philadelphia Phillies. The three brothers' love of the game and support of Dickinson College is well represented in one the premier stadiums in the Centennial Conference. As a senior, Bryan MacPhail '04 recorded the first hit at MacPhail Field with a single to center in the season opener against Frostburg State University on March 5, 2004.
