(Allentown, Pa.) - The
Dickinson College women's basketball team suffered a 77-41 setback
on the road at #11-ranked Muhlenberg on Monday night. |
After the teams traded leads early in the half, the Mules went
on an 11-2 run to take a 24-8 advantage at the 7:06 mark.
Muhlenberg held a 32-21 lead at halftime.
Sophomore Taylor Miller (Red Lion, Pa./Red
Lion) hit a three-pointer to open the second half,
but it would be pretty much all Mules after that.
Muhlenberg continued to build on the lead over the course of the
second half as they improve to 15-3 overall and 12-2 in the
Centennial Conference.
Junior Alesha Sisco (Effort, Pa./Blair
Academy) led the Devils with nine points and eight
rebounds. She hit 5-of-6 free throws as the Devils went 12-for-16
as a team.
Carole Dempsey (Potomac, Md./Winston
Churchill) added eight points and five
rebounds. Brooke Muller (Northampton,
Pa./Whitehall) and Miller each tallied four points,
three rebounds and two assists.
Alexandra Chili led Muhlenberg with 23 points, hitting four
three-pointers. The Mules sank eight three-pointers in the game and
shot 7-for-10 from the free throw line.
The Red Devils slip to 13-6 overall and 9-6 in the Centennial
Conference. They travel to McDaniel College for a 6:00 pm tip-off
on Wednesday night.
