(Carlisle, Pa.) – The Dickinson College men's swim team improved to 8-0 on the season, turning back McDaniel College, 125-68, on Saturday.
Sophomore Jason Adams (Kingston, Jamaica/Kent School, Conn.) led the way with a triple-win afternoon. He touched the wall first in the 200 individual medley (2:03.30) and the 100 freestyle (48.80), and swam the lead leg of the winning 200 medley relay (1:39.59).
Sophomore Cris Miranda (Columbus, Ohio/Upper Arlington) added a pair of wins, capturing the 100 butterfly (55.07) and swimming the third leg of the medley relay.
Senior Andrew Shine (Paoli, Pa./Haverford School) won the 1000 yard freestyle with a time of 1:31.78, touching just in front of first-year Chris Miles (Harford, Conn./Kingswood Oxford), with a time of 1:32.50.
Senior Doug Murray (Collegeville, Pa./Perkiomen Valley) won the 50 freestyle (21.15) and placed second in the 100 backstroke event (56.10). First-year Micah Smith (Clemmons, N.C./Forsyth) was the winner in the backstroke, clocking a time of 55.94).
Brandon Gauthier (Greensburg, Pa./Hempfield) won the 200 freestyle (1:52.19) while juniors Ed Barnard (Springfield, Pa./Haverford School) and Zach Yocum (Lebanon, Pa./Cedar Crest) each earned a win with the medley relay.
The Red Devils travel to Washington College next Saturday to race the Shoremen at 2:00 pm.
