(Bryn Mawr, Pa.) – The Dickinson women's swim team posted a pair of victories on Saturday, swimming past Bryn Mawr 153-51 and Juniata, 126-78.
First-year Caitlin Klockner (Acton, Mass./Acton-Boxorough Regional) won the 200 individual medley with a time of 2:19.08 and the 500 freestyle in 5:31.42. She anchored the second placed 400 medley relay as well, clocking a time of 4:06.03.
Sophomore Caroline Brennan (Madison, N.J./Madison) was a triple-winner on the day, touching the wall first in the 200 freestyle and 100 butterfly with times of 1:58.49 and 1:03.65. She joined the winning free relay, clocking a time of 3:54.54.
Classmate Nora Snee (Falls Church, Va./JEB Stuart) won the 1000 freestyle (111:09.00) and placed second in the 500 with a time of 5:34.60. Carla Vazquez-Ramos (Arlington, Va./Yorktown) placed second in the 1000 with a time of 11:01.31 and took fourth in the 100 butterfly (1:04.38). Sophomore Sarah McEvoy (Riverside, Conn./Greenwich) was third in the 500, clocking a time of 5:40.98.
Alex Melchiorre (Voorhees, N.J./Bishop Eustace Prep) anchored the winning free relay and finished second with the medley relay, swimming the lead leg to a time of 4:06.03. First-year Clara Russell (Oakdale, N.Y./Connetquot) swam the lead leg of the free relay and captured third in the butterfly (1:05.78). Katie Nirenberg (Springfield, Va./West Springfield) joined the free relay as well, swimming the third leg.
Johanna Flemming (Northampton, Mass./Northampton) and Jamie Bugel (McLean, Va./McLean) went 2-3 in the 100 breaststroke with times of 1:15.08 and 1:15.53. Flemming added another second with the medley relay.
Senior Maky Sullivan (South Hadley, Mass./Holyoke Catholic) also joined the medley relay and placed third in the 100 backstroke with a time of 1:05.74. Classmate Betsy Mullally (Nottingham, Md./Roland Park) added a second in the 100 backstroke (1:05.74) and sophomore Alexandra Goodson (Boiling Springs, Pa./Boiling Springs) was second in the 100 freestyle
The Red Devils improve to 4-3 overall and 1-1 in the Centennial Conference. The Red Devils are in action again on Sunday, traveling to Bloomsburg University for a 1:00 pm start.
