(Carlisle, Pa.) – The Dickinson College women's swim team was gunning for unbeaten Gettysburg on Wednesday night, but the Bullets escaped with a 114-91 decision to remain undefeated. The Bullets improve to 8-0 overall and 6-0 in the Centennial Conference while the Devils slip to 9-5 overall and 4-2 in the conference.
Sophomore Carson Gannon (Morristown, N.J./Morristown Beard) had another strong outing, winning the 200 and 500 freestyle events with times of 1:58.20 and 5:18.14, respectively. She swam the second leg of the 200 free relay, placing second with a time of 1:44.44.
Senior Eva Kolstad (Cheshire, Conn./Hotchkiss School) also won a pair of events, touching the wall first in the 50 and 100 freestyle events. Kolstad clocked a time of 25.54 in the 50 and posted a 55.10 in the 100. She added a second place finish as well, anchoring the 200 medley relay (1:58.37).
Sophomore Natalie LeBlanc (Westport, Conn./Staples) swam the lead leg of the medley relay, and added a pair of second place showings in the 200 individual medley (2 :15.73) and the 100 backstroke (1 :03.44). First-year Carla Vazquez-Ramos (Arlington, Va./Yorktown) earned a pair of third place finishes in the 1000 free (11:12.37) and 100 butterfly (1:04.69) events.
The Red Devils are home again on Saturday, hosting Swarthmore College in the regular season finale at 2:00 pm.
