(Carlisle, Pa.) – The Dickinson College men's swim team turned in some outstanding performances on Saturday, posting a 121-84 win over visiting Swarthmore.
Jason Adams (Kingston, Jamaica/Kent School, Conn.) led the way with three wins on the afternoon. He touched the wall first in the 50 and 100 freestyle events, clocking times of 21.11 and 48.02. He swam the lead leg of the winning 400 free relay as well (3:16.03).
Tristan White (Auburn, N.Y./Hotchkiss School) had a memorable senior day. He got the Devils off to a strong start, swimming the lead leg of the winning 400 medley relay. The relay clocked a time of 3:39.90 while White added a key win in the 200 backstroke with a time of 2:00.87. Classmate Doug Murray (Collegeville, Pa./Perkiomen Valley) anchored both the winning medley and free relay teams, and placed second behind Adams in the 50 free style with a time of 21.24.
First-year Chris Miles (Hartford, Conn./Kingswood Oxford) captured the 500 freestyle (5:04.39) and placed second in the 200 freestyle with a time (1:49.67). He added a win with the 400 free relay, swimming the third leg.
Junior Ed Barnard (Springfield, Pa./Haverford School) was a double-winner, claiming the 200 breaststroke in 2:18.23 and swimming the second leg of the winning medley relay. Classmate Zach Yocum (Lebanon, Pa./Cedar Crest) swam the second leg of the winning free relay, placed second in the 200 individual medley (2:05.45) and third in the 100 freestyle (50.46).
The Red Devils post their 10th win of the season, improving to 10-2 overall and 4-2 in the Centennial Conference. They will compete at the Conference Championships, starting on February 17th.
