(Elizabethtown, Pa.) – The Dickinson women's basketball team suffered a non-conference road loss to unbeaten Elizabethtown College on Monday night, falling 77-44.

The Blue Jays struck first and led throughout the contest. The Red Devils played even with the unbeaten Blue Jays for the opening 10 minutes. The Devils trailed by just a basket at the 10:09 mark, and were down, 21-17, with 7:57 on the clock.

The hosts closed out the half with a 19-5 run, taking a 40-22 lead, into halftime, behind 12 first-half points from Rachel Forjan.

Forjan continued to lead the charge after the break. She netted five straight free throws and buried her third, three-pointer of the night, as the Blue Jays stretched the lead in the second half.

Forjan finished with a game-high 20 points, shooting 6-for-8 from the field, 3-3 from the three-point line and 5-for-5 from the line. Taylor Kreider added 14 points, seven rebounds and five assists as Elizabethtown improved to 7-0.

First-year Mary Martin (Honesdale, Pa./Honesdale) led the Red Devils with 10 points and six rebounds, adding a block and a steal. Jennifer Smith (Short Hills, N.J./Milburn) reached double-figures with 10 points on 4-of-5 shooting, adding a pair of steals.

Erica Buls (New Market, Md./Oakdale) added seven points, five rebounds and a pair of assists.

The Red Devils slipped to 1-7 on the season. They return to action after the new year, traveling to Bryn Athyn College on January 4^th. Tip-off is set for 3:00 pm.
