(Grantham, Pa.) – The Dickinson men's swim team closed out the semester with a 124-78 win at Messiah College on Tuesday night. The Red Devils improve to 5-2 on the season.
Senior Jason Adams (Kingston, Jamaica/Kent School, Conn.) led the way with three wins on the night. He touched the wall first in the 50 freestyle with a time or 22.10 and won the 100 butterfly in 53.00. He also swam the lead leg of the 200 medley relay to a winning time of 1:39.79.
First-year Alex Bennett (Baltimore, Md./Loyola Blakefield) won the 200 and 500 freestyle events, posting times of 1:49.70 and 5:01.75. He led-off the 200 free relay to a solid exhibition time of 1:31.20. Classmate Sam Eaton (Port Matilda, Pa./State College) placed first in the 100 breaststroke (1:02.28) and joined the winning medley relay.
Senior Brandon Gauthier (Greensburg, Pa./Hempfield) won the 200 individual medley, clocking a time of 2:03.66, He anchored the medley relay and placed second in the 100 breaststroke (1:02.40).
Sophomore Alex Karickhoff (Willoughby, Ohio/Hawken School) added a win in the 100 freestyle (51.12) and placed third in the 200 with a time of 1:53.59. He swam the third leg of the free relay.
Junior Chris Miles (Hartford, Conn./Kingswood Oxford) joined the free relay, won the 100 backstroke (56.20) and placed second in the 1000 freestyle with a time of 10:36.35. First-year Travis Lipscomb (San Antonio, Texas/Alamo Heights) went two-three in the 200 individual medley (2:07.10) and the 100 freestyle (53.24). He also anchored the free relay with a split of 22.90.
The Red Devils improve to 5-2 on the season. They travel to Ft. Lauderdale, Florida for the Bob Mowerson Invitational on January 7th.
