(Carlisle, Pa.) – The Dickinson men's swim team turned in some strong performances to defeat visiting McDaniel College, 119-77, on Saturday afternoon.
Junior Chris Miles (Hartford, Conn./Kingswood Oxford) led-off the 200 medley relay as the Red Devils won the event to open the meet, clocking a time of 1:39.30. He added a win in the 100 backstroke (54.04) and placed second in the 1000 freestyle with a time of 10:30.99.
Senior Brandon Gauthier (Greensburg, Pa./Hempfield) anchored the medley relay, adding a second place finish in the 200 individual medley (2:00.80). He swam exhibition in the 200 breaststroke, clocking a time of 1:001.89.
Junior Micah Smith (Clemmons, N.C./West Forsyth) joined the medley relay and also won the 50 freestyle in a time of 22.82. He touched the wall second in the 100 backstroke in 57.61.
Sophomore Alan Karickhoff (Willoughby, Ohio/The Hawken School) swam to a win in the 100 freestyle (50.68), and placed second in the 200 free with a time of 1:51.88. First-year Alex Bennett (Baltimore, Md./Loyola Blakefield) won the 200 freestyle (1:47.09) and placed second in the 500 freestyle event (4:53.67). He anchored the 200 free relay, swimming exhibition as well.
Cameron Phillips (Woburn, Mass./Phillips Academy Andover) joined the exhibition free relay, adding a win in the 100 butterfly (54.93) and a third place finish in the 200 freestyle (1:52.97). First-year Travis Lipscomb (San Antonio, Texas/Alamo Heights) led-off the free relay as they clocked a time of 1:31.98, and finished second in the 50 and 100 yard freestyle events with times of 23.08 and 50.68, respectively.

The Red Devils improve to 6-2 on the season and 1-1 in the Centennial Conference. They travel to Washington College next Saturday for a 2:00 pm start.
